The Conchords Chorale
A community vocal group
Members

Our membership is made up of a wonderful blend of young and old. Ranging from 19 to 83 years old in the current session, with experiences ranging from international performances to growing up in a musical family to never having sung in a formal group before.  The closest member lives a couple of blocks from the primary rehearsal location and the farthest member drives 40 minutes and 35 miles to each rehearsal. When you ask them, they almost always say they gather for the joy of singing.

There are two sessions, the first starting in September with 10-14 concerts in November-December, and the second starting in January with 10-14 concerts in May-June. The first session includes a wide variety of Christmas and holiday music while the second session tends to be popular songs from 1940-1970. In 2009 the group became a Rose Festival Foundation event, which means we perform at various Rose Festival functions during the second session.

The structure of the organization includes a board of directors, music director and four of the 50+ members who serve as section leaders for the four vocal parts (soprano, alto, tenor, bass).
